Manage Joule email notifications

Learn how to turn Ampere email notifications on or off and choose which Joule activity emails you receive.

Last verified about 22 hours ago

Use notification settings when you want Ampere to email you about Joule work that needs attention, or when you want to keep those updates inside the app only.

Notification choices are personal to your account. They do not change another teammate's notification settings or remove work from the app.

Account Notifications lets you turn email notifications on or off and choose which Joule activity emails Ampere sends.

Open notification settings

  1. Sign in to Ampere.
  2. Open your account menu.
  3. Go to Account settings.
  4. Open Notifications.

The page shows a global Email notifications switch and a Joule activity section.

Turn all email notifications on or off

Use Email notifications to control whether Ampere sends Joule activity emails to your account email address.

When Email notifications is off, Ampere stops all Joule emails for your account. You can still open Ampere to see chats, project work, tool runs, and other in-app activity.

When Email notifications is on, you can choose which Joule activity categories should email you.

Choose Joule activity emails

The Joule activity section includes category switches for the kinds of work Joule may email about:

  • Joule needs input: Joule paused because it needs an answer before it can continue.
  • Joule work ready to review: Joule finished a task and the results are waiting for you.

Each switch saves as you change it. If the global email switch is off, the individual Joule activity switches are disabled because no Joule emails will be sent.

Delivery notes

Joule only emails about work that needs your attention. Rapid repeats are suppressed automatically, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.

If you expected an email and did not receive it, check that Email notifications is on, the relevant Joule activity category is on, and your account email address can receive mail from Ampere.

Where to go next

If Joule is paused in the app, read Troubleshoot a failed or stuck Joule session. If your question is about what Ampere stores or processes, read Privacy and data handling basics.
