Invoices and payment methods

Learn where billing users manage invoices and saved payment methods from Ampere.

Last verified 2 days ago

Ampere uses the secure Stripe Billing Portal for invoice downloads and saved payment-method updates. Organization owners and billing admins can open the portal from the Billing page when the organization has an active billing setup.

Use this article when you need to download an invoice, update the card or payment method used for billing, or understand why those billing tasks open outside the main Ampere app.

Who can manage invoices and payment methods

Organization owners have billing access by default. Owners can also add billing admins when another teammate needs to help with billing work.

If you do not have billing access, you may still be able to view parts of Billing, but you cannot manage the billing portal. Ask an organization owner or billing admin to handle invoice and payment-method updates for the organization.

Open the Billing Portal

Open Billing from organization settings, then find the Subscription card.

If you have billing access and the organization has an active billing setup, select Manage in Billing Portal. Ampere opens Stripe's Billing Portal for the organization.

Use the portal to download invoices or update saved payment methods. After you finish, return to Ampere to continue managing credits, top-ups, auto-recharge, and usage from the Billing and Usage pages.

What belongs in the portal

Use the Billing Portal for billing-account tasks that Stripe handles for Ampere, including invoice downloads, subscription management, and payment-method updates.

Use Ampere's Billing page for Ampere-specific credit and plan controls, such as reviewing the current subscription, buying top-up credits, setting auto-recharge, changing billing cadence when available, and managing billing admins.

If you do not see the portal action

The Manage in Billing Portal action appears for users with billing access when the organization has billing portal access available.

If you do not see the action, ask an organization owner or billing admin to review the Billing page. If you are an owner or billing admin and still cannot continue, contact Ampere support with the organization name and what you were trying to manage.

Where to go next

To learn who can manage billing, read Understand billing admins. To compare subscription options, read Plans and pricing. To change billing cadence from the Subscription card, read Switch between monthly and annual billing.
