Ampere's standard model is now Sonnet 5
New Ampere sessions now start from Sonnet 5 for everyday marketing work.
What's new
Ampere's everyday model option now uses Sonnet 5 for new sessions. The model menu on Home and in an Ampere session reflects the new standard option, while higher-reasoning and lower-cost choices remain available where your Organization settings allow them.
The credit and usage systems were updated alongside the model change, so Ampere can keep showing the right model choice and usage records for new work. Existing sessions and saved preferences continue to work, so you can pick up ongoing work without resetting your setup.
Why it matters
Most marketing tasks start from the standard Ampere path: a product update, a campaign idea, a research question, a draft that needs shaping, or a set of files that need to become useful work. Moving that default to Sonnet 5 gives those everyday briefs a newer model baseline without making you choose a premium option for routine planning, drafting, and structured execution.
For lean teams, the practical benefit is less model housekeeping. You can still choose the option that fits the job, but new Ampere sessions now begin from a newer standard setting for the work you delegate most often.
Where to find it
Start from Home or open Ampere. When you choose a model for a new session, the standard option now appears as Sonnet 5.
